Running a small business in a recession is not easy at the best of times, but especially not so with Stage 4 cancer and then Royal Mail strikes and some snow and ice thrown in for festive frolics 🤯 🤯 🤯
You might wonder why anyone would continue to support Royal Mail given the ongoing strikes and the inability of management to work with the CWU to resolve workers' issues.
The answer? Some of us have no choice. As a small business and with Royal Mail (last few months excepted) having a very good reputation for delivery and minimal parcel loss, we contract to them in order to achieve a flat £3.95 delivery charge to our customers, no matter the size of the order. And in fact, some of our deliveries (sub £20 order total) are only £2.95 to you.
What has served us very well for the last few years is now unfortunately causing us huge headaches. There are some not insignificant delivery delays in the system and we are aware of some customers waiting ten days after despatch to receive their parcels from us. We are hugely sorry that this has impacted our customers. We are contracted to use Royal Mail and using any other services would have cost us an additional £5.80 per delivery which is not something a small family business can sustain in a recession, with rising manufacturing costs.
DELIVERY DELAYS - HOW YOU CAN TRACK YOUR PARCEL
We automatically send you an email as soon as we have despatched your order. If you haven't received one, it's probably in your Junk/Spam folder. If you still can't find it, you may have typed in your email address incorrectly in the order field (about 8% of customers do this - it's all too easy to do). Please contact us by email if you can't find your tracking number and it has been more than 7 days since you placed your order. Our email address is hello@heylola.co.uk
Your tracking number will start KB followed by a host of numbers and GB at the end.
You can then track your order's delivery progress here. Please don't hesitate to contact us and we will do our VERY best to help you. There may be days where we can't get back to you as quickly as we'd like, as we contend with ongoing chemo and other life complications. But rest assured that no email goes ignored.
